Three Days of Powerful Talks
June 8 - 10, 2026
Location: TBD

This conference series is uniquely designed to exchange information, provide support to PFAS-affected communities, and facilitate engagement across diverse sectors involved with PFAS to accelerate the protection of health and the environment.

At This Conference, We Will…

  • Highlight local community perspectives and global impacts of PFAS.

  • Continue collaborative conversations that integrate cutting-edge scientific discoveries with the complex social and political contexts of affected communities that are often marginalized and underserved.

  • Identify the best methods to share findings and ensure ongoing communication between researchers, PFAS sectors, and affected communities.

  • Share information and resources that respond to needs identified by affected communities and other diverse PFAS sectors.

  • Strengthen existing and establish new collaborations between researchers, communities, and political and public sectors to encourage coordinated and solution-based approaches that will prevent future PFAS contamination and exposure-related health risks.

The Conference Series

Where science meets community.

This conference series started in 2017 at Northeastern University in Boston, MA. It is held every other year with a unique focus on the social, scientific, political, economic, and environmental health issues raised by per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS). We examine both ubiquitous exposures in consumer products and discrete historic and recent contamination discoveries in drinking water and soil around the world. In partnership with academic institutions and the National PFAS Contamination Coalition, each conference brings together some of the nation's leading scientists, government agency professionals, community-based organization leaders, national and regional environmental advocates, journalists, and lawyers to examine the most pressing issues related to PFAS exposures, health effects, and building greater accountability from responsible parties.
